Donations
When you donate to Resilient Reefs, you invest directly into our mission. Your donation goes a long way and is fully tax deductible in Australia.
Individual Donors
Anyone can donate right here through Donorbox! Just choose an amount and whether it’s a once-off or monthly donation.
You can join our Care for a Coral or Build a Coral Branch features, which generate a Certificate of Appreciation that make great gifts for friends or family. Donors will receive a certificate with your name on it that can be downloaded and printed. Certificates are electronically stamped with the name of the receiver. If you are buying it as a gift for someone, please use their name in this field at the checkout.

Business Donors
Most business donors to Resilient Reefs favour an ongoing ‘percentage-of-sales’ arrangement and it is common to coincide donations with submission of their Business Activity Statement for ease of accounting.
Alternatively, the arrangement can be for a specified period, such as a sales campaign; or a once-off. That’s up to you. We will issue a receipt with our ABN, which identifies us as a Deductible Gift Recipient.
Business donors control how they promote their support to their market. However, Resilient Reefs cannot provide that service or the ATO will deem the donation to be sponsorship, which will have negative implications for the business donor in the event of a tax audit.
Business Sponsors
Resilient Reefs provides sponsors exposure and endorsement dependent upon the level of sponsorship sought. Sponsorship is priced for serious supporters of our mission who seek recognition for their partnership through brand association.
The impact from sponsorship is measured by the number of additional fertilised larvae produced from our Resilience & Recovery program.

- Based on research noting that, on average, a spawning coral colony produces millions of egg-and-sperm bundles, of which more than 100,000 on average fertilise to become coral larvae. As our Resilience & Recovery program matures, we will assemble our own data and update these figures accordingly.

Volunteer Program
We use volunteer dive workers to support our team in the field. Typically, we will take up to two volunteer dive workers with us on each visit to the reef. Compliance with WH&S laws dictates limitations to the program. And we impose our own measures to ensure practicality.
Volunteer dive workers must:
- Be minimum Dive Master certified
- Hold a current Occupational Diver medical certificate
- Be available to participate on week days only
- Be available for the whole day
- Be able to commit to six months participation
